Bought a used plant? Here is what happens next
Buying a used asphalt plant is only half the job. Dismantling it at its old site without damage, marking and transporting the parts, and installing it correctly at the new site decide whether the plant will run trouble-free for years. A wrongly dismantled cable tray or a lost fastener can cost weeks at commissioning.
At Setrafalt one team runs the whole process from start to finish: dismantling at the seller’s site, loading and transport coordination, and installation and commissioning at your site.
What we do in dismantling and installation
1. Site survey and planning
The plant is inspected on site; the equipment list, heavy parts, crane and transport requirements are identified. The layout of the new site and the suitability of its foundations and infrastructure are checked.
2. Mechanical and electrical disassembly
Mechanical connections, conveyors, elevators, silos, dryer, filter and bitumen line are dismantled. Electrical panels, cables and sensors are labelled and disconnected. Every part is numbered so that it goes back to the right place during installation.
3. Damage-free transport
Parts are prepared for loading and secured. For both domestic and international shipments, the loading sequence follows the installation sequence, so there is no waiting on site.
4. Site adaptation and re-installation
The necessary adaptations are made to suit the ground and layout of the new site. Mechanical and electrical installation of the plant is completed, and missing or worn parts are identified and reported.
5. Testing and commissioning
Motor directions, scales, burner, filter and control system are tested one by one. The plant is handed over ready for production.

If spare parts are needed
If worn or missing parts turn up during dismantling or installation, we can also supply spare parts on request.
Plant automation and software
If the control system of the relocated plant is outdated, or you want to renew the automation at the new site, our partner DKT Design and Software’s asphalt plant control software can be installed to work with your existing PLC.

How long does asphalt plant dismantling and installation take?
It depends on the plant’s capacity and type and on the distance between the two sites. After the site survey we give you the work schedule in writing.
How is the price of relocating an asphalt plant calculated?
The price depends on the size of the plant, the number of heavy parts, crane requirements, transport distance and whether the job is domestic or international. Send us the plant details and the locations of both sites on WhatsApp and we will prepare a quote quickly.
Can you dismantle and install any make of plant?
Yes. We dismantle and install batch and continuous, stationary and mobile asphalt plants regardless of make and model.
Do you relocate plants to other countries?
Yes. We carry out dismantling and installation at sites abroad, and manage the whole process for plants moved into Türkiye or from Türkiye to other countries.
Do you hand over the plant in working order after installation?
Yes. The last step of installation is testing and commissioning; the plant is handed over ready for production.
